We were delighted to welcome the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust to our latest Community Assembly on Thursday 26 September.

We met at the Haven Community Hub in Hamlet Court Road, where we gave an update on our upcoming projects and heard from the East of England Ambulance Service. They gave a presentation on what they do, the type of calls they receive, and the pathways available to them.

The East of England Ambulance Service cover a large area, helping approximately 6.3 million patients and attending approximately 350 incidents per day.

After taking some questions from the audience, their team of community first responders gave us a demonstration on how to use a defibrillator and give chest compressions. Some of us even had a go!
