We are required by law to publish this account of the staffing and funding we receive, highlights of the work we have done and ideas about the things we will be looking at in more detail over the next year. Our top three priorities are:

  1. Using the NHS England funding, work with SAVS to recruit community connectors with experience of chest diseases. They will help commissioners improve services by hearing about their experiences.

  2. Understand the good and less good elements of the NHS and Adult Social Care if you are a deaf person in Southend.

  3. Respond to local people’s concerns in our survey about waiting times and access to services (especially in primary care)

We will continue to offer information about local services as well as holding the NHS and City Council to account for the care given to local residents.
