With services being moved within the Mid & South Essex area, we asked one of our volunteers to make a journey from Southend to Brentwood Community Hospital. Often we use online route planners to plot travel times, but we felt it was important to test these. We also wanted to get a sense of how the journey “felt”.
We have shared our findings with the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board who are adding it to their consultation responses about the use of community inpatient beds.
