Planned changes to Healthwatch Southend

The Government has announced plans to end the current model of local Healthwatch services and bring their functions together with those of Local Authorities and the NHS Integrated Care Boards. However, this change is not yet law — and until any legislation is passed, we remain fully active and independent.

We wanted to reassure you that Healthwatch Southend is operating as usual and continuing to deliver on ensuring that health and social care works better for people. We remain your source for independent information, advice and guidance about local services. We have a workplan of activity to deliver based on what you told us matters to you. We are very much here to listen to what you like about services and what you think could be improved. Whatever the issue, we want to hear about it.
