To access NHS 111 in another language, you just need to say “interpreter” to the call handler and then say the language you wish to communicate in.

There is also a guide for health professionals which gives information about the needs of migrant patients. To access that information, click here.

We will continue to add further information and resources to this page about health and social care, specifically for refugees from Ukraine who are heading to Southend, as it is released. If you are looking for something specific and cannot find it, please get in touch! Our friendly team will be happy to help.

The British Red Cross have produced a series of resources regarding emotional wellbeing.
