HWS COVID-19 local survey report;

Healthwatch Southend has published the results of a survey to find out how Covid-19 has affected the care of people living in the area.

Although only a small number of people filled in the survey, we heard about helpful new ways of seeing your GP and support from specialist nurses. Unfortunately we also heard about times when patients were not able to get hold of the services they needed and a lack of communication about what to do.

We have sent the report to Southend Borough Council, NHS Southend CCG and the two trusts providing hospital and mental health and community services, in the hope that our findings can help in any future outbreak.
