How well does the NHS App work for you?

The Government recently published its 10 Year Plan "Fit for the Future", which calls for three 'shifts' from


  • hospital to community

  • treatment to prevention

  • analogue to digital


Running through the plan are calls for patients to be able to make more use of the NHS App. In future, the Government wants more information on your medicines to be available online. The App will tell you more about the choices you have - where is your nearest pharmacy, or which hospitals have the shortest waiting times. The My NHS GP tool will take a patient’s descriptions of their worries or symptoms, ask the right follow-up questions and provide personalised guidance using Artificial Intelligence (AI). All your child's records will come together online - a digital version of the Red Book.
