The NHS in Mid and South Essex is asking residents to share their travel experiences when getting to and from hospital appointments. Whether your journey is easy or difficult, they want to hear from you.

Your feedback will help them work with transport providers, local councils and other partners to improve services for everyone.

Take the survey by clicking the blue box below:

What the survey covers

The survey takes about 5 minutes and asks about:

  • How you usually travel to appointments

  • Any challenges you face getting there

  • What would make your journey easier

  • Your suggestions for improvements

Who can take part

Anyone who has travelled to a hospital or clinic in Mid and South Essex for an appointment. This includes:

  • Patients who drive themselves

  • People who use public transport

  • Those who rely on family and friends

  • Users of patient transport services

  • Anyone who has struggled to get to appointments

How we'll use your feedback

Your responses will help them:

  • Improve community transport in Brentwood, Thurrock and Basildon to reduce missed appointments caused by travel poverty

  • Identify other areas where travel poverty affects access to hospitals and medical services

  • Update Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust's travel plan

  • Work with transport providers and local councils to enhance services

  • Develop better information about travel options for patients
