HELP ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE TO SHARE THEIR VIEWS ON CARE HOME STAFF BEING REQUIRED TO HAVE A COVID-19 VACCINATION.

Older adults living in care homes are at a high risk for severe illness from COVID-19. While vaccination rates are increasing, there are still some care homes which do not have the level of protection needed to reduce the risk of a COVID-19 outbreak.

The Department of Health and Social Care has launched a consultation on proposals to require older adult care homes to use only staff who have had a COVID-19 vaccine, unless a staff member has a medical exemption.

It’s important that people have their say, especially those who live in homes for older adults, or have a relative who does.

The deadline for responses is Friday 21 May.
