Your voice in local health and social care

Teachers Resource Pack

Healthwatch Southend want to hear from children young people across the town. Healthwatch Southend and Southend Healthy Schools are working closely together to encourage young people to
talk about their experiences and share their views of local health and social care services so that we can effect change in the long term.

The simple activities in this pack will help us to understand the things that matter most to the young people in your school. They have been designed to encourage young people to carefully consider the health and social care services that they use but also the services used by others in their community. The activities are designed to be simple and flexible so they can give young people the best opportunities to feedback to Healthwatch. Healthwatch links closely with the work of Healthy Schools and Personal Development and Citizenship. We hope that this resource pack can provide a good way to look at the wider Healthy School community and influence change in the community and local health and social care services.

We hope to use this engagement work to influence future teacher training and shape the work that Healthwatch Southend will be carrying out in schools across the town. Please feel free to print, copy, or share the worksheets from below.

For any further information or for a chat about the pack please call the Healthwatch Southend Office on 01702 416320 or email HealthwatchSouthend@family-action.org.uk
