Chance for cancer patients + carers to influence cancer service improvement

07/04/2017

Cancer patients and carers wanted to help improve cancer services in the East of England

An opportunity has arisen to join an influential patient board working with the new regional Cancer Alliance.

There are 16 places for patients and carers on the Board. Once appointed, members will work alongside health care professionals, clinicians and others to improve early diagnosis of cancer, care and treatment and support for life beyond cancer.

Meetings will be about four times a year in the Cambridge/Newmarket area, however telecon or Skype may be available for those unable to travel.

These are voluntary positions that attract payments to cover travel and some other expenses. The East region includes: Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, East Hertfordshire, Essex, Milton Keynes, Suffolk, Norfolk.
